This CE lesson advances from foundational claim context to applied inspection, estimation, and coverage reasoning in residential roofing. Learners develop a structured approach to damage assessment by identifying weather-driven failure patterns in shingles, flashing, and structural components, then practice translating observations into clear, claim-usable documentation. The course then builds cost-estimation literacy by comparing contractor and adjuster methodologies and analyzing the drivers of material, labor, and scope variance. The instruction culminates in an evaluation of extreme-weather implications for insurance claims—including insurable interest and event-specific complications—so participants can anticipate friction points and support more defensible outcomes in real cases.
